Teaching Is Central to My identity

I lead the Vocal Studies program at William Paterson University, and I work mostly with enrolled students through our variety of B.M., B.A., and M.M. programs. I also take a small number of private students. Working with my students and growing the program at William Paterson is the most significant thing I’ve done with my life. Helping my students transform is what motivates me and brings me joy.

Although my background is in “classical” singing and repertoire, I also work in musical theater and CCM styles.

My teaching methods and philosophy include:

  • Honesty

  • Respect

  • Positive language

  • Specific technical coordination of:

    • Breath

    • Phonation

    • Resonance

    • Articulation
